Director Ira Miller is the men’s and women’s tennis coach at division I Fairleigh Dickinson University. At the collegiate level, Coach Miller has won 14 conference championships and 13 conference Coach of the Year awards.
He is active in many areas of tennis and has been a gold medal winning USTA Eastern Section Zonal coach, an international coach at the Pan American Maccabiah Games, a recipient of the USTA/ITA Eastern Section Campus Recreation Award, and a featured speaker both in the U.S. and abroad. He has also been inducted into the FDU and Drew University Athletics Sports Hall of Fame.
In addition, Coach Miller has been running summer programs for over twenty years. He has been the director of the adidas tennis camp at Ramapo College for the last five years; the tennis director/head counselor of Antigua Adventure: a teen travel program on the Caribbean island of Antigua; and the owner/director of Island: a teen travel program on the Caribbean island of St. Kitts that had an emphasis on community service.
The adidas Caribbean staff will be high level teaching pros and coaches, some ranked college players, and local pros. Everyone goes through extensive staff training with the director. Participants will be supervised at all times and each camper will have a counselor in a room nearby. |
